Welcome to our Reception.

As well as being vibrant and welcoming, our classroom environment is a fantastic learning resource, it engages children and promotes learning, as well as celebrating children’s work.  With careful thought and planning, it is used as an interactive resource supporting teaching, learning and assessment. We believe that a well organised and stimulating environment has a direct impact on the quality of teaching and learning, and therefore supports raising standards.  It enables pupils to develop independence as learners, building on good Foundation Stage practice.

The reception class is full of exciting activities to learn from, we have two large rooms and a great outdoor environment to use. Our wet room is where we can cook and even get messy!  We can sit in the cosy reading area and read a book or even practice our phonics with Fred. The outdoor environment has a large sand pit, a play house, an exciting water play area and a wide range of animals!

We recognise the important role that parents, and carers play in ensuring a successful time at school and so we value your contributions and endeavour to fully involve you in the life of our school. We pride ourselves on having an open and approachable ethos which is welcoming to all.
