Meet the Governors

Welcome to the Governors' section!

Bordesley Village Primary school has a governing body to ensure that it has the capacity to improve and raise standards. Ofsted consider the governing body to be part of the leadership of the school. However, governors do not manage the school – that is the job of the head teacher.

Governors are there to be a ‘critical friend’ to the head teacher and the school. They do this by :
 - Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction;
 - Holding the school to account for the educational performance of all pupils;
 - Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.
