School Council

Welcome to the Bordesley Village School Council page.

At Bordesley Village Primary School the school council consists of an elected body of eighteen children, two from each of the junior classes and meet once a fortnight.

The council represent the pupil voice. They discuss issues raised by the children and for the children. They like to support and enhance the life of the school. Each class rep is given time in their own class to discuss the needs and desires of individuals and issues arising from times such as playtime, lunchtime and P.P.A. time.

The school council design and carry out many surveys to gather pupil opinion on behaviour, healthy meals, lunch and playtime issues and resources and needs of the children in our school at a particular time. The school council has represented pupils at governor's meetings, at behaviour and healthy school team meetings. They have shared their views with staff and governors and they have also been on training days and  courses.
